It's awfully embarrassing to see so much confusion surrounding the relationship between cannabis use and psychotic illness, in any of it's many forms, from simple mania to full-blown schizophrenia.

Hopefully this web tour will help. At the end of it you might know:

a) We don't know what mental illness is or what causes it.
b) Statistically speaking, we know that cannabis use does not cause it.
c) Statistically speaking, we know that being a criminal can cause it.
d) We must separate the effects of a drug from the effects of financial and criminal pressures associated with sourcing an illegal substance.
