Homelessness in one of the world’s richest country is on the rise. More and more people in Britain are now relying on the state and charities for a roof over their heads.
In the second quarter of this year, around 9,000 homes were repossessed in Britain.Interest rates here are low at the moment but there are fears that when they do eventually rise, more families will struggle. And more will end up turning to the authorities to help provide a roof over their heads.
Emma Hayward travelled to the city of Bristol to find out how the rising cost of living is affecting people from all walks of life.
